New magic powers!

Today Olivia crawled on hands and knees.. (instead of army crawling), initiated her first steps all by herself while letting go of the furniture on her own, and took a three hour nap! I believe it is all because of her new bling:-)  ---------->>   
Olivia got an Amber teething necklace today, not for chewing on.  Its actually Baltic Amber. Supposed to help with the pain of teething.  So they say...it was used way back when in Europe as a "medicine" and has certain healing powers. So see!!  All those new things she did today happened the same day we purchased the necklace.  :-)  The necklace has powers:) I"ll provide a link so I dont have to keep trying to explain it. Oh well...even if it doesn't have magic powers..it sure looks cute on her right??  :-)

This is the difference between CIO vs. WIO. It is so beautifully and lovingly written and just makes good sense. The words almost make me cry.  My favorite sentence: "I can wait it out so you dont have to cry it out.  This is only  my opinion. I am happy with what any of you mommas do. I know getting babies to sleep at night is extremely difficult. 

And I also do not  know why the text has this highlight over it..  :-/

CIO vs. WIO 

Swimming and lots of sun!

Don't they all say that swimming and lots of sun make for tired kids? Well she did get lots of sun today. Thanks to our good friend for letting us use her pool today. We had a nice swimming day. AND thanks to REI for Olivia's new toy (or is it daddy's new toy). We have a Deuter baby backpack. We pack the baby in it!! Thats right! The baby goes in a back pack!!  So of course we had to go on a little outdoor practice walk (of course I'll post photos). So....this girl had a big day. I think she will sleep pretty well tonight :-)

........15 min break....

As a matter of fact...in the middle of writing this, Olivia started crying. I usually give her crying about 3 min. Most of the time she will find a sock (I"ll share the sock information later) and fall right back to sleep. But for some reason she stayed crying :( I do not do CIO... I do WIO :) I am a proud WIO'er :-)
(cry- it- out vs. wait- it- out). "To each his own"  :)   This usually never happens where, I have to go up there and console her, because she is such a good sleeper. I went up and picked her up and just sat in her chair and rocked her back to sleep....which I absolutely loved by the way! She is not really a snuggle baby, so when I have a chance to rock her to sleep...I just melt, and love her sleeping in my arms. She still has such a baby smell...like something in the baking isle at the grocery store. So sweet.

Well it seems this "Swimming and lots of sun" post turned more into a sleeping post. ....  I just loved that I got to rock her to sleep <3 .....Aww... my heart..

This girl just wants to walk SO bad! Sitting and walking in her walker isn't enough for her anymore. She wants to actually walk over and touch things and chase chloe without any buffer! It sound exciting and all that she's getting closer to walk...but it sure makes me have to work super hard. This momma doesn't have much downtime...  :-/  My only downtime is when we are driving in the car, or when she is napping. Why do those two hour naps go by so fast?! They only seem like only 30 min some days!
Well I just did some laundry, made cupcakes (which were a bust) cleaned up the kitchen, and now I need to go get her. She is standing up in her crib, finished with her nap :)

Welcome! My first new post :-D

Welcome! My frist new post! :-D

Welcome to my blog! I"m excited to start this new chapter in my life. I"ll be posting photos of all the adventures my little girl and I go on. I also may write a little about the adventure here and there and share any thoughts I may have :-) I am new to staying at home, and I"m a new mom! So notworking and having a baby are definitely very  new to me!! I am learning as I go and enjoying every crazy..out of control, exciting moment <3  


This new chapter in my life is the complete opposite of the last 5 years of my life. If you are at all interested in my previous 5 years you can check it here. I think its about 4 years long. I looked back and read some of the things I wrote and cannot believe I waited and waited and waited for this girl. I was pretty mellow during everything. When I started writing it, I had no idea i'd have it for four years...


Well on to bigger and better things now!! I figured it was time for me to move away from that and go in a completely new direction! A much more desired direction I must say :-)
